“I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits.”Martin Luther King Jr.
The Mercantile, located in the Warehouses on White, now proudly hosts Rock Hill’s first Community Fridge. The Rock Hill Community Fridge is a fridge full of free food for our community. With the goal of eradicating food waste and insecurity, the fridge aims at using food that would be otherwise thrown away. Host a Fridge
Interested in hosting one of the Rock Hill Community Fridges at a location of your choice? The Mercantile is a host to the first Community Fridge, and we want more businesses to get involved. If you have a location or are a business willing to host a fridge, contact us at email@example.com to get more information on how to do so.
The Rock Hill Community Fridge is powered by the community for the community. Meaning, it’s up to our community to ensure that it is clean, stocked, and organized. If you would like to volunteer to help with these needs, join our Volunteer Facebook Group for more information and lists of needs.
